Greetings Canadian emerging music fans!
Recently posted and already busy, Episode 77 is largely behind the
scenes at Canadian Music Week. We?ll talk with The Cliks before they
hit the stage at the Indies Awards and we also look forward to
introducing you to The Good Lovelies who we met for the first time at
CMW. Our industry insider segment is a couple of excerpts from a
panel of 360-marketing. People in the know are talking about "brand
alignment" for bands because record companies don?t have advertising
and promotion budgets. However, telecoms and junk-food manufactures
do so prognosticators see our favorite CDs coming in a bag or potato
chips sometime soon. Please have a listen to this weeks show and then
weigh in on what you think this. Are the monkeys now running the
zoo? Is this the dawn of great opportunity for indie bands? Is this
the biggest sell out you ever heard of? Either way, after you?ve
heard from the learned panel let us know on Myspace or Facebook.
Toronto?s Reno is our feature artist this week and we have been
looking forward to featuring this emerging act to you for some time.
In Canada, their new record, ?Learning to Talk Human? comes out in
April. They will be talking about the secrets to their international
success and why fans mean so much to them. We also introduce Hue and
The Reels as well as hearing from Dave Martel and Vesta Varro.

IndieCan caught up with Raine Maida who was at The Phoneix Concert
Theatre Monday night. Commentary on the concert and live pics are
coming soon. Raine also had time to sit in with us at Redline
Recorders for an upcoming ?live at IndieCan? episode we will share his
music and thoughts on his career, his causes such as War Child Canada,
his new life, his Our Lady Peace life, family life and why he?s proud
to be Canadian.
Also coming soon will be features with Alex Tintinalli, Vesta Varro
and the latest plans for IndieWeek Toronto coming up this fall.
Thanks for supporting Canadian indie and we look forward to your
