It?s been another magical week at IndieCan and we?ve got The Montreal
Scene cued up and ready for you at http://www.indiecan.com as we visit
Salon de la Musique Independante de Montreal to see our friend Dave
Cool of Stand Alone Records and meet new friends.  Tim?s Myth from
Ottawa was in town on the Saturday night doing a gig at ?The Brew? and
we got Tim Smith in Montreal?s Production DNA early the next day where
Whitebird Studio?s Douglas, Jesse and I spoke with Tim and were
treated to some fine acoustic treatments of his music.

Without steeling Tim?s thunder, his band has won remarkable accolades
and there are some insights in this weeks interview into what that
magical ?it-quality? is that separates some musical acts from the
crowd.  White Room, Miracle Fortress, Skip Jensen and Brainchild are
other Montreal acts featured on Episode 57.

We hope this is a fitting tribute to POP Montreal coming next week.
IndieCan attended the Polaris Music Prize Gala this week and
commentary and pictures can be found at IndieCan.com ? Next week?s
show will bring you behind the scenes as we hear from organizers and
artists at the big event.

If you?re a face booker, come see us at:

As always, http://www.myspace.com/indiecanmusic will give you clues to
where IndieCan will be in the next while and we?d love to see you out
on the town or hear from you, so keep telling us what you?re
discovering and we?ll pass it on.  It?s Saturday as I write this and I
will be at C?est What tonight to enjoy the music of Sarah Burton,
Daphne Darling and Montreal?s Jenn Mierau.

This month we welcome to the IndieCan Radio broadcast family, stations
CVUE FM from B.C.?s The Sunshine Coast which you can visit at
http://www.spacemodel.biz/ft/cvue/ as well as Kamloops?s CFBX Radio
http://www.thex.ca/ so please find time to pay them a visit.
Community radio works hard for the people they serve.  Next week will
also feature a fabulous act from B.C., The Sled Dogs who will be live
at IndieCan.

Enjoy this weeks show and please keep in touch ? We?re all in this together!

Warm regards,

Joe Chisholm
