What’s new in Radio land?   What’s a radio you ask?  Funny but true;
terrestrial radio listeners are waning and internet radio and pod-cast
audiences are on the rise. More than one in five have listened to Internet
Radio in the past month. 2006 was the big turn around boasting a 50%
increase in people who listen on line, year over year. People listen at
work – or during what we call work hours – in the last two years a 43%
increase has been recorded in people who log on to listen more than twice
a week, for more than 5 hours a week. IndieCan finds that to be true.
Although we have listeners from 126 countries in most time zones, we peak
in online listeners between 11:AM EST (8:AM PST) and 8:PM EST (5:PM PST).
Radio web site visitors are highly loyal, with two-thirds of station web
site visitors visiting weekly, and nearly a quarter visiting daily.

That’s the news – now over to the entertainment desk:

Thanks Joe, this week on IndieCan Radio Episode 155 wraps our Indie Week
2009 coverage + we leak some nearly released tunes to tease your ears.
Here’s the line-up:
Jay Sparrow, Spiral Beach, Crush Luther, The Pack A.D., Language Arts,
Nervous Control, Oriel Jones, Matt Epp, Lily Frost, Bent Sinister, New
Soul Cowboys, Natasha Pasternak, Broomfiller, Basia Lyjak and
drum roll
please, Atlantis Blueprint

Next week, 156 checks out the new double CD Blue Rodeo, Hugh Dillon, Die
Mannequin and lots of the regular people you’ve never heard of that sound
better than Nickleback
 the usual.

And now weather: There will be weather all weekend. Expect the mornings
to start dark, brighten by mid day and be dark again before you know it.

More culture madness next week. Many thanks to all of team IndieCan,
working hard behind the scenes.

Love and Kisses,

IndieCan Radio
