Thanks to all of you who came to share in the celebration that was
IndieCan’s Birthday Bash February 16th at Jeff Healey’s.  It was our
pleasure to devote the night to awareness and fund raising for
AthletesCAN in support of our amateur athletes.  We hope you had fun.

Thanks to our sponsors, Long & McQuade, Sunrise Records, Skylar
Entertainment, Indie Bible, Exclaim and EYE WEEKLY and more who helped
make this event the thrill it was.  A crowd of artists, fans and
industry insiders from both sports and music braved the cold and
enjoyed the screening of “What is Indie? – 2 countries, 2.400 miles,
8 experts, 18 artists, - one question” followed by performances from
Tin Bangs, Anti-Hero and Tacoma Redd.

A complete list of raffle winners, pictures and commentary will be
available at http://www.indiecan.com/birthdaybash.htm[1] soon so
please stay tuned.  There are pics from the event there now.

Most importantly, thanks to Raquel, Gayle and Mary at IndieCan, all
of the hardworking people at AthletesCAN and our volunteers for the
great job.

If you haven’t been to our Radio page yet this week, we continue
with this theme.  Our industry insider is Commonwealth silver medalist
and V.P. of AthletesCAN, Trevino Betty, talking about the struggle for
athletes and how similar sport and music are in terms of how they
bring people together and become such a part of our culture.

Hot of their American Songwriters Contest win, ALL THE BRIGHTNESS
is our “live at IndieCan” feature artist.  Other great music on
Episode 33 includes Tin Bangs, D.O.A. Montreal’s Flotilla, London’s
The Joys, Bellevue, Shirley Levi, Focus Puller, Spiral Beach and The
Morning Stars.

Thanks for your continued support.  As always, we welcome your
comments, suggestions and questions.  Feel free to contact us at
info at indiecan.com[2] or 416-239-8737.

Canadian Music Week is coming March 7th to 10th and we look forward
to getting you prepped for it soon.
