CANADIAN MUSIC WEEK EXTENSIONS FOR AWARDS AND THE FESTIVAL
In a world of very few second chances, here?s one.  Extended until the
end of November, you can petition CMW to pay a little attention to
your favourite band in one of the 30 categories of prizes that will be
given out at this year?s Indies.  Also, that means that a few showcase
spots have to be held open for bands or artists to.  CMW is a week
before SXSW this year, March 5th to 8th.  I chatted with CMW President
for 30 minutes and before it gets spliced into a 10 minutes radio
interview, I invite you to listen in on our web site.  Why is no
contact too small, according to Dixon.  Why does he go to 25 music
festivals/conferences a year?   Details can be found at IndieCan.com.

  YOUR SUCCESSFUL CD RELEASE
"What is Indie" producer Dave Cool from Montréal has teamed up with
Berklee College of Music Director of Career Development, Peter
Spellman to write this guide.  My review and a link to it are on

EPISODE 62 of IndieCan Radio is now available for free download
We bring you back to Halifax POP Explosion to hear from Executive
Director Waye Mason about what makes HPX outstanding.  We?ll hear from
The Superfantastics who live there, Jenn Grant, who moved there, The
Besnard Lakes who love it there.

Our show opens up with Joshua Bartholomew which might look we?re on a
CMW Radio Star kick, but it?s just coincidence.  We?ll talk about how
Josh copes with arena rock settings, Jeff Buckley comparisons and how
none of these things have changed him as a song writer.

Also on the site or coming soon, More COCA and HPX pics and our review
of the Weakerthans show at The Phoenix Concert Hall.  Come see us
often this week or stay a little longer.  There?s more to see, do,
learn and enjoy this week.  We?ll be introducing you to new
participants at IndieCan.  We?re growing and we?re thrilled.  As
always, weigh in at FaceBook or Myspace.  We are ?of the people/for
the people? so let us know what?s on your mind.

Warm regards,
